OEM motor sourcing guide
Zhanye Motor is a China-based manufacturer supporting OEM projects for products intended for India. Motor selection should align the electrical input, application load and product-level BIS or other requirements identified by the buyer.
Application fit
Where this motor sourcing approach applies
A useful recommendation starts with the finished product, not a model number. Share the load, target operating point, available space and expected use pattern.
- Mixer grinders and food preparation appliances
- Vacuum cleaners and airflow equipment
- Power tools and compact machinery
- Other household, commercial and similar electrical appliances
Recommended starting series
Compare relevant Zhanye motor platforms
Start with the application load and mechanical package, then confirm input tolerance, temperature rise and the final appliance standard. Do not treat a motor certificate as certification of the finished product.
| Model | Catalog supply | Measured no-load speed | Maximum tested output |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZU5425 | 230V / 50Hz | 22,404 RPM | 187.14 W |
| ZU5640 | 230V / 50Hz | 20,771 RPM | 167.36 W |
| ZU7635 | 230V / 50Hz | 15,996 RPM | 365.49 W |
| ZU8840-D80 | 230V / 50Hz | 17,585 RPM | 509.28 W |
| ZU9535-E59 | 220V / 50Hz | 19,950 RPM | 568.15 W |
| ZU9545 | 220V / 50Hz | 19,381 RPM | 742.51 W |
| ZU9535 | 220V / 50Hz | 24,448 RPM | 1,195.40 W |
India compliance scope depends on the finished product. BIS lists compulsory-certification requirements and current Quality Control Orders, including appliance-specific standards. The OEM or importer should confirm the applicable route before design freeze.

OEM customization
Parameters that can be reviewed
Customization scope depends on the selected platform, technical feasibility, validation plan and production demand.
- Voltage, frequency and winding configuration
- Loaded speed, torque and operating point
- Shaft length, diameter, flats, thread or coupling
- Mounting points, brackets and available envelope
- CW or CCW rotation, viewed from an agreed side
- Lead wires, terminals, connector and thermal protection
Sample development
Move from requirement to a controlled sample
Testing and validation
Confirm the operating point in the complete product
Electrical and performance
Measure voltage, current, input power, loaded speed, torque or application output, start-up behavior and control interaction.
Thermal and duty cycle
Check temperature rise at the worst expected load, run time, start-stop pattern, ambient condition and cooling restriction.
Mechanical and NVH
Verify shaft fit, mounting, runout, rotation, noise and vibration in the final enclosure and driven system.
Life and compliance
Define endurance cycles, inspection points and finished-product safety or conformity requirements before design freeze.
MOQ principle
Separate sample quantity from production MOQ
Engineering samples are planned around what the OEM needs to validate. Production MOQ is reviewed after the starting platform and customization scope are known, because winding changes, dedicated tooling, material procurement, inspection and forecast demand affect the practical quantity. Send the expected annual volume and ramp timing for a useful quotation.
